About Shadeskip

Shadeskip is a colour-switch runner played with a trio of cats. Only one cat runs in front at a time; gates roll in painted brown, cream or orange and the front cat must match. Every gate also carries a shape, circle, triangle or square, so the game is fully playable without relying on colour. The pace starts gentle and rises every ten gates, gems reward brave switches, and a single mismatch ends the run. Short, sharp and surprisingly tense at speed.

How to play

The cats run on their own. Each gate shows a colour and a symbol: ● brown, ▲ cream, ■ orange.
Tap anywhere to cycle to the next cat, tap the bar at the bottom to pick a specific cat, or press 1, 2 or 3 on a keyboard.
The cat at the front must match the gate when it reaches it. A wrong cat ends the run.
Spinning gems give 50 points if the matching cat collects them. Speed rises every ten gates.

Tips

Switch as soon as you can see the next gate, not when it is close.
Learn the symbols: circle brown, triangle cream, square orange. At high speed symbols are faster to read than colour.
On a keyboard the number keys are faster than cycling with Space.
Gems only count for the matching cat. Skip a gem if the gate after it needs a different cat.
