Snailspell
BrainTrace words along the spiral of Sol’s shell. Letters only connect along the shell’s lines, so every word is a path. Dictionaries in eight languages.
About Snailspell
Snailspell is a word-tracing game on a graph rather than a grid. Sixteen letters sit along the spiral of Sol’s shell, connected by lines, and a word is any path along those lines whose letters spell a dictionary word of three letters or more. The dictionary follows the language of the page, so the game plays in eight languages with their own letters and frequencies. Found letters are replaced, and the refill always hides at least a couple of real words, so there is always something to find.

How to play
- Sixteen letters sit on Sol’s shell, joined by lines. Drag from letter to letter along the lines to spell a word.
- Release to submit. Words of three letters or more that are in the dictionary score; longer words score much more.
- Used letters are replaced, and a few of the new letters always form a real word.
- Ninety seconds on the clock. Each word adds seconds equal to its length.
Tips
- Start from rare letters; a word that uses the Q or the Z also clears it from the board.
- The word box turns green when the current path is already a valid word, so you can stop there or keep going.
- Five-letter words are worth seven times a three-letter word. Hunt for them while the clock is comfortable.
- Backtrack by dragging onto the previous letter.
